#LearnGrowThrive Summer Academy 2025

Nicole Rivers has been an educator in Cumberland County Schools since fall 2004. She earned her degree in Secondary English Education at Fayetteville State University, which led to rich educational experiences in urban, rural, alternative and virtual settings. Her years of professional development, student coaching and mentoring, and teacher leadership led to Mrs. Rivers being chosen as the 2021 CCS TOY and 2021 Burroughs Wellcome Fund Sandhills Region TOY, two accomplishments she will always hold in high regard. She currently holds a position as a Multi-Classroom Leader at DBHS in Fayetteville, NC, where she works alongside other teachers to support teaching and learning practices. Additionally, she is a part of TACs/TLCs from the district to the state level, and an EPFP alumnus. Of all her educational accomplishments, she is most grateful to God for being able to work with phenomenal students each year who impact her life as much as she hopes she does theirs.
