About me
Laura Martyak is currently the Elementary Program Specialist with AIG (Academically/Intellectually Gifted) in the Cumberland County School System in North Carolina. She has been working in education since 2002 and has been teaching elementary education in North Carolina since 2006. In 2018, she joined the gifted department and is now the elementary program specialist for Cumberland County Schools. With over 20 years of experience in education, Laura is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and succeed in their academic pursuits. She strives to destigmatize gifted education and create a more accessible, equitable and meaningful education for gifted learners.
